The Morning After_

We prepped and prepped for the July 4th holiday.  

We decorated.  

We did some cleaning.  

I did some cooking.  

And then the rains came.  

And came.  

And came.  

The big fireworks extravaganza on the hill was cancelled.  

The big fireworks show in our local town was postponed.  

The big fireworks shows in neighboring cities were cancelled.

And then today_

_the day after the torrential rains_

_the sun shines.
